What Are Microneedling?

The Process
What to Expect

We begin with a consultation to assess your skin and discuss your concerns. I will advise on the number of sessions likely to be beneficial and what results you can realistically expect.

A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment to keep you comfortable. The microneedling device is then passed over the skin in a controlled manner.

Treatment takes approximately 45–60 minutes. The skin will appear red immediately after, similar to mild sunburn, and this typically settles within 24–48 hours.
After Your Treatment
Aftercare Advice
- Avoid touching the skin for several hours after treatment.
- Use only gentle, fragrance-free products for 48–72 hours.
- Avoid sun exposure, saunas and strenuous exercise for 48 hours.
- Apply SPF diligently as the skin is more sensitive following treatment.
- Avoid active skincare ingredients such as retinol and acids until the skin has fully settled.
